Shark Tank Invests $225K In This Mini Tennis Racket That Puts A ‘Twist’ On The Natural Hair Game

The “Twist It Up Comb” is the newest addition to the natural hair game.
On Sunday, entrepreneur Noel Durity appeared before the Shark Tank panel to pitch an investment in his product the “Twist It Up Comb”. The comb, which features a stainless steel woven pattern, was created to reduce styling time and offer a clean way to twist thick, coarse hair.
Durity arrived at the tank seeking a $225,000 investment for a 15% stake in his company but found that some of the panel wasn’t well versed in TWAs (Teenie Weenie Afros) or the mega popularity of the natural hair styling market right now. While Laurie really understood the science behind the comb’s technique, which softly twists the hair as you rotate it in a circular motion creating texture, it was ultimately Daymond John and Mark Cuban who swooped in with an offer of $225,000 for 25% stake.
The comb costs $29.99 with shipping and taxes and is a more durable option to the more popular curl sponges that retail for less but require frequent replacing.
You can order a comb here.
