Did you know that Black women are the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs? If so, then you probably also know that they are among the least funded group when it comes to gaining capital to fund their businesses.
So how refreshing is it to have a new program that bridges the gap and attempts to levy the playing field?
Queen Boss is a new reality TV series that focuses on Black female entrepreneurs. Each week 3 women will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and products to a panel of celebrity judges for a chance to win a $25,000 prize to jumpstart their “Queen Boss” business.
The 8 episode competitive series is hosted by Extra host, Tracey Edmonds and features Vanessa Simmons (Project Runway), Lauren Lake (Paternity Court TV), Kandi Burruss (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Carla Hall (The Chew), Mikki Taylor (author of “Commander in Chic”), Lisa Price (founder of Carol’s Daughter), Rakia Reynolds (Skai Blue Media), Angela Benton (NewME), and Robin Wilson (Robin Wilson Home) as celebrity panelists.
Queen Boss is the first business reality TV series focused specifically on supporting Black female entrepreneurs and premieres January 14th at 10 p.m. on Centric.
