Luvvie Ajayi, the award-winning creator behind Awesomely Luvvie, the popular blog that mixes humor, throwing shade and all things pop culture hopes to add award-winning author to her growing list of achievements with the release of her debut book I’m Judging You: The Do Better Manual.
I’m Judging You is a collection of humorous essays that dissects our cultural obsessions, calls out online bad behavior, and still maintains a serious discussion about race and politics.
“It’s a collection of essays on life, culture, social media, and fame. It is my blog on steroids and it’s all brand new content… basically, if you know my work it is me at my best… I’m talking about race, politics, social media, shenanigans, about random friends that we have who are terrible at being friends… Ajayi told Eve Naturally.
The “do better” guide is being released on Tuesday, September 13th where Ajayi will be kicking off her book tour at Powerhouse Arena Books in Brooklyn with a talk with Crissle West from The Read.
Ajayi is already completely blown away by the response her book tour has gotten before the book’s release. Her first four scheduled stops are already sold-out, with one location holding 600 guests. When asked if she had any plans to do a second book Ajayi said not at the moment.
“I just want to get pass this one. I want this one to be a bestseller then it sets me up to do a part two because if this doesn’t sell well then nobody gives me a book deal for part two!”
We do not think that’s going to be a problem!
