Queen of Katwe Trailer Debuts

The trailer for Disney’s upcoming film Queen of Katwe debuted today.
Based on the inspirational true story of Phiona Mutesi, the film chronicles Phiona’s journey from the slums of Uganda to becoming a chess champion after a chance encounter with missionary Robert Katende changes her life for the better.
Queen of Katwe features Oscar-winner, Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave, Jungle Book) who plays Harriet Mutesi, mother of Phiona and Selma actor, David Oyelowo (playing Robert Katende). Fans will be eagerly awaiting the release as this is the first live action role Nyong’o has played since 12 Years A Slave.
Queen of Katwe will have a limited opening on September 23, 2016.
