It looks like the leading ladies of #ShondaThursdays will be shaking things up at ABC Studios!
Emmy award-winning actress, Viola Davis who stars in ABC’s hit show How to Get Away With Murder has landed a new overall development deal with the network. The announcement follows Scandal star Kerry Washington’s deal, which was reported three days ago. Davis, along with her husband Julius Tennon, will produce new projects for ABC’s broadcast, cable and streaming services through their production company, JuVee Productions.

“We started JuVee because we wanted to see narratives that reflected our multi-ethnic and multifaceted culture,” said Davis. “We wanted to be a part of classic storytelling, and we didn’t want to wait.”
The couple has reportedly tapped Bravo’s VP of Scripted Television Development & Production, Andrew Wang, to head their Television Development & Production Department. At Bravo, Wang oversaw the development and launch of the network’s first scripted series Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce.
With this latest deal, Shonda Rhimes’s leading ladies are set to bring ABC audiences a diverse collection of narratives to obsess over. #ViolaLand #ViolaSundays
